Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Depart early in the morning from Nairobi and drive south through scenic countryside, passing Maasai homesteads and open savannah plains on your way to Amboseli National Park.
Arrive at the park in time for your first game drive, where you will immediately begin spotting wildlife across the vast plains and swampy areas fed by underground water from Mount Kilimanjaro. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of birdlife.
Enjoy lunch at a lodge or tented camp within or near the park, followed by some relaxation time.
In the afternoon, head out for another game drive as the golden light enhances the beauty of the landscape. Capture stunning photographs of elephants walking in front of Mount Kilimanjaro, one of Africa’s most iconic safari scenes.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Amboseli – Nairobi
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active and the views of Mount Kilimanjaro are often clearest. This is the best time to spot predators such as lions and cheetahs as well as large herds of elephants moving across the plains.
Return to your lodge for breakfast before checking out.
Begin your journey back to Nairobi with en-route scenic views and optional short stops along the way.
Arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day Amboseli safari.
