Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo West National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Mombasa or Diani Beach, heading toward Tsavo West National Park along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway.
Arrive at the park in time for your first exciting game drive through the rugged wilderness of Tsavo West. The park is famous for its dramatic scenery, volcanic landscapes, lava flows, and abundant wildlife. Search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species as you explore the vast savannah.
Visit the beautiful Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters attract hippos, crocodiles, and exotic fish beneath the surface.
Proceed to your lodge or tented camp for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife and spectacular sunset views.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp.
Day 2: Tsavo West – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Enjoy an early morning game drive as the African wilderness comes alive with the sights and sounds of dawn. After breakfast, depart Tsavo West and drive toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private sanctuary known for its scenic landscapes and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
Arrive at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Built on elevated stilts above a waterhole, the lodge provides incredible opportunities to watch elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife gather below throughout the day.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the sanctuary, where you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, and a variety of birdlife against the backdrop of the beautiful Taita Hills.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight while enjoying nighttime wildlife viewing directly from the lodge’s observation decks.
Day 3: Taita Hills – Return to Mombasa/Diani
Begin your final day with an early morning game drive in the sanctuary, offering another chance to spot predators and grazing wildlife during the cool morning hours.
Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and beginning your scenic drive back to Mombasa or Diani Beach.
Arrive in the afternoon with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s incredible wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and unique safari experiences.
