Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo West National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Mombasa or Diani Beach, driving along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway toward Tsavo West National Park.
Arrive at the park and begin your first exciting game drive through landscapes filled with volcanic hills, lava flows, acacia woodlands, and open plains. Search for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species.
Visit the famous Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters attract hippos, crocodiles, and exotic fish beneath the surface.
Proceed to your lodge or tented camp for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive to explore more of Tsavo West’s spectacular scenery and wildlife.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp.
Day 2: Tsavo West – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast as the African wilderness awakens with the golden sunrise.
Later, depart Tsavo West and drive toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge in time for lunch.
Built on elevated stilts overlooking a busy waterhole, the lodge offers exceptional opportunities to watch elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife gathering throughout the day.
In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the sanctuary, where you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, and numerous bird species across the rolling landscapes of the Taita Hills.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay while enjoying nighttime wildlife viewing from the lodge’s observation decks.
Day 3: Taita Hills – Ngutuni Wildlife Conservancy
After breakfast, depart for Ngutuni Wildlife Conservancy, a peaceful private conservancy bordering Tsavo East and known for its excellent wildlife viewing and tranquil atmosphere.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and relaxation while overlooking the waterhole often visited by elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and antelopes.
Later in the afternoon, head out for a game drive through the conservancy in search of lions, cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, and a variety of birdlife. The conservancy’s quieter environment offers excellent opportunities for close wildlife encounters and photography.
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or camp.
Day 4: Ngutuni – Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, continue your safari adventure to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s oldest and largest national parks.
Enjoy a game drive through the park’s vast red-soil plains while searching for Tsavo East’s famous red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, ostriches, and numerous antelope species.
Visit scenic attractions including the Galana River and the impressive Mudanda Rock, a natural viewpoint overlooking wildlife gathering below.
Check in at your lodge or tented camp for lunch and relaxation before embarking on an afternoon game drive as the golden sunset spreads across the savannah.

Day 5: Tsavo East – Return to Mombasa/Diani
Begin your final day with an early morning game drive, one last opportunity to experience the beauty and wildlife of Tsavo East during the cool morning hours.
Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and beginning your scenic drive back to Mombasa or Diani Beach.
Arrive in the afternoon with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s incredible landscapes, rich wildlife, and authentic safari experiences.
